I lived out in the country for four years where field mice practically took over our walls! I attribute my fear to watching the movie BEN when I was young and believing that rats could kill. They are not cute, they have teeth and carry numerous diseases. If I ever see one in our house, I would be hiring an exterminator. I'm a dog person so the cat deal is not even an option. Good luck!
