Holiday wrap up

Aside from a trip to see my family, I've spent much of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend playing Scrabble and watching movies. In fact, Joe and I went to see both Lars and the Real Girl and The Darjeeling Limited. Darjeeling is definitely my favorite Wes Anderson flick; I really liked it. And the movie marathon has continued from there as we have watched on dvd: Talk to Me, The Groomsmen, Fracture, Ratatouille, Mr. Brooks and Chalk. I have also rediscovered my competitive side while playing many games of Scrabble. It's been a great few days. Joe is leaving first thing in the morning and for now we are watching (and enjoying) the MU/KU game. So far so good for the Tigers.

"I love you, but I'm gonna mace you in the face."

I gave Alex the choice of going to see The New Pornographers (alone) or "Darjeeling" (with me) a few weeks ago. He chose the movie. And guess who was sitting directly in front of us? The New Pornographers. I guess now we know how bands spend their time around here before the show!

Nichole, I think about you every time I see Bill Murray. Is that weird?

We also tried to see No Country for Old Men but it's still not playing here.
