I have posted before about my dog Crumley's high energy level. It also seems that in the process of all his rambunctiousness, he is constantly whacking his head on things and usually just remains completely unfazed. In fact, a few days ago, he knocked his head into my shin as we were both walking up the stairs (well, I was walking and he was running). Anyway, I have an ugly bruise on my leg from that incident. Today, I bent over to pick up his leash and he got so excited about the possibility of going outside that he jumped up at the same time I was bending over and whacked me in the head. I seriously thought for a split second I was going to pass out. I sat down immediately and clutched my head in my hands when I realized I was actually bleeding. A trip to the bathroom confirmed instant swelling and now I am icing and praying for no black eye. Meanwhile, he is napping.

Glad the crumbcake can rest while his Mommy is in pain! Here's hoping for a speedy recovery and limited collisions with the rambuctious canine! Perhaps Cesar Milan can teach you how to rechannel his extreme love for you and the outdoors without his whacking you! =)
Not fun!! 8-( I've also decided that 'excited to go out' dogs--especially if a big tail is involved--and small spaces that include me are just a bad combination! Hope you're better!
I did go to the doctor and didn't need stitches as the cut didn't go through all the layers of skin but I have been walking around with bandages and an ugly wound. I think I am most embarrassed by the fact that it looks like I've been in a fight! :)
Maybe you ought to go with that thought & write the 'selected short' (story) to go with the bandages...
Don't want to make light of it though, when it's that bad!
