Doomed

I fear that my beloved awards season is completely doomed. No red carpets. No speeches. No after parties. After the Golden Globes have been cancelled, I am still holding a small amount of hope for the Academy Awards. Small. Very small.

You were my first thought when I read the Golden Globes news.

Thanks for your comment on my blog - I hadn't heard of DermaDoctor, so that definitely helps give me another option!

And did you watch the People's Choice awards? Poor Queen Latifah, standing there all by herself, all fancied up. It was pretty pathetic.

Do you wonder if any of the actors are secretly pissed that their awards shows are gone? I'm thinking especially about the Academy Awards. I'll bet a couple of them are harboring some resentment towards the writers' union and the networks bc it's not affecting their big night. Watch this be the year Kevin Bacon actually gets nominated and it's not televised. lol

Here to lament with you via Nichole's blog. It just doesn't seem right. We have a big party at our house every year for the Oscars where 5 different people bring food related to the 5 best picture nominations. It's one of the only things to get us through a long, cold winter. WHAT will we do if it's canceled?! Wahhhh.
